Ayla Bombe

This lot originates from the Testi Ayla Washing Station, established in 2010 and joining the Testi group in 2016. The station currently supports approximately 375 smallholder farmers in the village of Bombe, located in the Sidama region near Bombe Mountain. The farmers in this area typically cultivate an average of 2.5 hectares each and grow local coffee varieties such as Mikicho and Setami. This coffee is naturally processed, which typically means that the beans are delivered on the same day they are harvested. They are then sorted for ripeness and quality before being cleaned of dirt. Next, the beans are spread on raised drying beds or tables, where they are rotated continuously throughout the drying process. Drying can take an average of 8 to 25 days, depending on the weather conditions.

This lot comes from the Testi Ayla Washing Station in Sidama's Bombe village. Naturally processed, the coffee cherries are carefully sorted, cleaned, and then dried on raised beds for 8 to 25 days, depending on weather, resulting in a rich, quality-focused cup.
